Location

Tavronitis set on the northern coast of Crete and is only 4km from Ermis Villa. There you will find mini-markets, shops, restaurants and other amenities. Tavronitis beach is a long-beach in front of the village is a nice pebbly beach, which is actually a small part of the larger beach that runs from Kolimbari and extends up to Chania. This is ideal for swimming, especially on windless days. Near the beach there are many hotels, tavernas and restaurants, while you can find almost every possible service for tourists on the beach.

Kolymvari town, 8km from the  villa, is a small touristy resort of Western Crete. Kolymvari village is located on the main coastal road. Kolympari has few shopping stores, very good restaurants and tavernas, few cafes and various accommodations. Kolymvari has a calm nightlife but you can enjoy a peaceful village atmosphere and you can treat yourself with the Cretan sun and local hospitality.

Platanias area, the most popular touristic area in west Crete, is a few minutes by car from the villa. There you will find everything you look for as restaurants, shops, banks, postal office, police, playground, bars, cafe, supermakets and hot nightlife.

Chania city, the major city of west Crete and famous tourist area, is only 30km from the villa. The city of Chania can be divided in two parts: the old town and the modern city which is the larger one. The old town is situated next to the old harbour and is the core around which the whole urban area was developed. It was heavily bombed during World War II Chania’s Old Town but it didn’t reduce its fame as the most beautiful urban district on Crete, especially the crumbling Venetian harbour.
