Euboea is the only Greek Island that has access to Athens via road. Meaning that everyone can be in Chalcis (capital of Euboea) in an hour and in Athens in an two hours. As well the owner can be in Athens central airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) in two hours and 22 minutes. Thus this destination is visited all months of the year. In the local area there are traditional taverns with locals unique recipes (greek spinach pie, fired bread, moussaka etc). Chalcis has the majority of each town can offer. That is to say, there are shops, luxury hotels, clubs, hospital. Last but not least, you can be in the Athens airport in two hours via your car without you care about weather conditions. Needless to say that Euboea has important history as regards the antiquity and middle ages.
