The beach of Porto Rafti, with sand and fine pebbles, is found in front and a bit to the South of the homonymous settlement, at the inlet of the homonymous bay. It is situated  8 kilometers eastern to the town of Markopoulo, to which it belongs and  35 kilometers eastern to the center of Athens. The beach is well protected both from the northern winds and from the southern ones, thanks to the two peninsulas at either ends and to the skerries across that do not allow the strong winds to reach the beach, whatever their dire
